Responsibilities
• Developing leading-edge network test methodologies.
• Writing test scripts/custom applications for new network technologies.
• Providing scripting/API/Library training.
• Delivering integrated Spirent product solutions.
• Facilitating technical feedback to Development Team.
Requirements:
• Strong networking background. Understands both LAN (10/100/1000/Gig Ethernet and TCP/IP) and WAN (ATM and frame relay) technologies.
• Able to learn Spirent technology (i.e., SmartBits, AX/4000 and Abacus) quickly.
• Able to program. Must be strong in C/C++.
• Able to learn TCL. Visual Basic and Delphi expertise a plus, but not required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft (Windows 3.1/95/NT) and UNIX (SUN/Solaris/LINUX) development environments.
• Able to communicate well with technical customers.
• Able to listen and to translate customer needs into requirements.
• Able to deliver projects on time. Good time and personal management skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Willing to grow and improve.
• Requires C, C++, and TCL programming experience.
• 3 to 5 years data communications industry experience required.
• Moderate travel.
