Position Requirement:
Windows Live China - previously MSN Technology China (WLC) is a
dedicated Windows Live
product and service development group located both in Beijing and
Shanghai, China.
WLC is an extension of MSN core product development teams, promoting
and managing
Windows Live core product development in China.
WLC also identifies China market opportunities and leads innovations by
developing
compelling products to quickly respond to China market demands.

As a SDE at WLC, your primary responsibilities include working closely
with a virtual
team of developers across related projects in China, creating system
architecture
designs and specifications, driving innovative development initiatives
for China
and other regional markets, and overseeing the relationship and
communication with
MSN core product development teams and external partners.

The requirements include deep understanding of Internet services,
Microsoft platform
technologies, and MSN products and services; At least 4 years of
software development
and project management experiences with full release cycles of major
software and
Internet products; demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership
and collaboration
across different development groups in Microsoft and external partners;
great
communication and relationship building skills; proven ability to
design a large
scale system architecture with Microsoft technologies, write highly
detailed and
quality-driven technical specifications, and work with program
management, test,
usability, and design to drive product development from conception to
release.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Help design, develop where local efforts are needed, and integrate
products
for China market.
- Help recognize new opportunities or industry trends for China market
and take
these concepts and create proposals for new functionality, as well as
build working
prototypes of new concepts in order to evaluate their impact on the
service by means
of usability testing / consumer feedback.
- Help ensure our assigned projects technologies integrate well with
other
internal technologies & services (Search, MSN Spaces, Passport, etc.)
