Software Engineer – Unix

Key Responsibilities
• Design software units/modules/products.
• Code software units/modules/products.
• Unit/module testing of software.
• Develop and direct software testing plans for quality assurance.
• Set up software configuration control environments.
• Set up software development environments.
• Software configuration control.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Port software to other platforms.
• Provide product content to Technical Writers.
• Assist Quality Assurance Team.
Job Requirement
• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of commercial software development.
• Expert level in C/C++, RPC, and Shell scripting
• Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux system programming: file system, security, inter-process communication and synchronization mechanisms, etc.
• Knowledge of Storage system and hardware( SCSI, FC, SAN, Tape Library, etc) is a plus
• Outstanding design/debugging/coding skills.
• Problem solving skills and quality management.
• Team Work.
• CET 6, can communicate effectively with world wide development teams in English; can write good technical emails and documents in English.
