I am doing a dashboard for the management. The dashboard will gather very separate data which are almost irrelevant with each other (or with minor correlation). The data will finally be stored into a data warehous for historical access.

My question is: How to design this database? as those logical objects are quite separated from each other, should I put them in 1 database instance or separate for them? Any way of creating a common tie among them?
